War, 11 portraits
The project was developed in 2014 in collaboration with Taras Polataiko during our visit to Kyiv’s Central Military Clinical Hospital. It documents eleven severely wounded Ukrainian soldiers through large-scale black-and-white portraits accompanied by recorded audio interviews in which the soldiers speak about their personal experiences and needs.
Pavlo Terekhov created the visual concept and photographed the series. Taras Polataiko conceived the project and conducted the interviews.
